Boundary demarcation and beaconing The boundary lines which must be identified by the land owner or his representative shall be cut clear of obstacles and beaconed at every change of directions in a way that represents the boundaries as identified by the land owner or his representative.  Here are steps to becoming a registered surveyor in Nigeria 1. Ensure you have the O'level requirement to study the course in either polytechnic or University accredited to offer the program 2.  Apply for joint admission and matriculation board(JAMB) examination and select the required subjects. The required subjects are use of English, mathematics, physics and geography 3. In case you are offered admission into university, get your first degree and go for National youth service corps(NYSC)  4.
